Today, we’re going to learn how to add just a fresh flavor to many of our everyday dishes. We’re gonna make herbs better. It’s just so easy and quick to do. So let’s get started because there’s going to be an interesting twist at the end and I don’t want you to miss it. This recipe is taken from a cookbook that I’ve written called Satisfied baking with whole grain goodness. So hopefully you have this, it just has a lot of good teaching in it. First, let’s take one stick of butter. Keep it at room temperature since you don’t want to put it in the microwave. The microwave kind of destroys the way the molecules work in butter and it just doesn’t work in

recipes very well after you do that. Next, we’ll need a clove of garlic. A lot of the recipes are more on the mild side. I really prefer two cloves of garlic to this to make it more flavorful. Then, we’re going to add some oregano, some basil, and some parsley We’re just gonna go ahead and mix that in. You could use dried herbs or you could use fresh. And today we’re using fresh and I mean literally fresh cause my kitchen smells like an herb garden. You would take off the leaves, kind of bunch them up. But you can just kind of punch them. I don’t want to crush them or bruise them because this is a real, live plant. I would just cut it and I get four slices at one time. So now what we’re going to do is we’re going to wrap up this herb butter. And there you go – it’s ready to use for your bread, for cooking, and so on! I would put it in the freezer, then when I’m ready to use it, I’m just going to take it out and I’m just going to use a sharp knife and just slice off a tablespoon or two tablespoons at a time. Rewrap it back up, put it back in the freezer. And with those tablespoons, I could put it on a baked potato or some steaks or some salmon or some fresh vegetables. It, there’s the list is endless. Whatever you would use better for you.
